Royal Eagles awaiting Papy Faty medical results before signing

Royal Eagles coach Kosta Papic has confirmed that a deal has been agreed with Papy Faty, but there is still a pending medical report.

Faty suffered a series of worrying collapses during training and matches while still at Bidvest Wits, which initially doctors had no idea how to diagnose.

The Burundian has since recovered and appears ready to play again, and Papic believes there should be nothing to worry about as they have done their homework.

“Yes he has been signed, depending on the medical report. [As for the results] I will let you know tomorrow,” Papic tells KickOff.com.

“We’ve got to do the medical before we sign him, but he is with us.”

Papic also gave a reason for taking a risk on the talented midfielder when he already has a strong squad at his disposal.

“There is nothing wrong [with the squad] we had before [in the first half]. We just want to have strong competition in our team, more than before, that’s all.”
