No news from Naturena or Kaizer Chiefs transfer news

Kaizer Chiefs’ communications department is unable to provide any update on player transfer movements.

The Glamour Boys let four trialists through the door last week and are still assessing Italian striker Gustavo Paez and defenders Pedro Henrique Dias DeAmorim (Brazil), Miracle Gabeya (Malawi) and Ismael Olivier Toure (Ivory Coast).

Chiefs have also been speculatively linked with an unlikely move for Mamelodi Sundowns forward Anthony Laffor but club communications manager Vina Maphosa says he hasn’t heard a thing being discussed at Naturena regarding the Liberian star.

“Laffor? Not heard of that at the club,” Maphosa tells

“Mthembu, we haven’t done any player movements announcement, we are waiting for the football department to inform.”

Out-of-favour striker Siphelele Mthembu is at Bloemfontein Celtic hoping to seal a move but is having to wait for a decision from their technical team.

Meanwhile, Lorenzo Gordinho was on his way to Denmark this morning for a trial with Superliga club Aalborg BK following an ‘experimental visit’ with English Championship side Fulham alongside teammates Ryan Moon, Siyabonga Ngezana and Emmanuel Letlotlo.

Willard Katsande is with Zimbabwe as they prepare for their African Nations Cup opener against Algeria on Sunday.
