With a clash against Bidvest Wits their first league obligation of 2017, Ajax returned to training on Monday under the guidance of head coach Stanley Menzo.

Zimbabwean Chipeta is currently nursing a broken finger and says the Christmas break aided him greatly in his recovery.

“It feels good to be back you know. I am just recovering well from my broken finger and I enjoyed the break as I spent all of my time with my family,” the former Chippa United man told the club's official website.

“Yes everyone is ready for the second round of the league. Look, in these two days since we returned, it has been all hard work for everyone.

“The coach has a specific message to us, that we have to pick ourselves up from where we left off last year. We have to keep on doing the right things for us to improve our standings on the log table.”
