Polokwane City striker Puleng Tlolane has attracted interest in his services as he enters the last six months of his contract.
While City have offered Tlolane a new two-year deal with an option to renew, the 25-year-old is yet to decide on his future.
"Tlolane is wanted by Chiefs, Pirates and Sundowns. Bidvest Wits have joined the queue now but Wits and Pirates are most interested in him," a source tells KickOff.com.
"People that I have seen are ‘Screamer’ Tshabalala (Pirates technical director) and I also saw Jose Ferreira (CEO) of Bidvest Wits and Sundowns management… There’s a chance that they (Downs management) will be meeting before the end of the week with the player’s agent.
"But these clubs have not agreed on the package of the player. The boy likes Polokwane City and everything is okay there but when he compared what he may potentially earn from these clubs with what he’s earning now, he sees he will miss a big chance.
"The player, it has been his dream to join a big club and you can see his performance has dropped a lot. He’s no longer the same Tlolane who scored quite a number of goals. It was the same thing last season when Cole Alexander wanted out at the club because he was enticed by a bigger salary at SuperSport United, hence he didn’t extend his contract."
Tlolane, who is currently nursing two broken fingers sustained in a game with SuperSport United on December 21, garnered attention when he netted 11 league goals in 2014/15.
However, he only scored two goals last term, while he has struck thrice this campaign.
