Sameehg Doutie set to sign short-term contract with Ajax Cape Town

KickOff.com can confirm that Sameehg Doutie is set to sign a six-month deal with Ajax Cape Town for the remainder of the season.

Doutie, who started his career at Ikamva, is a free agent after his contract with Indian Super League side Atlético de Kolkata recently expired.

“Yes, it's official, Doutie is back,” a source close to Ajax tells this website.

“He was training with the club this morning and I’m sure he will add some value and further experience to the squad.”

The 27-year-old winger has also plied his trade at Orlando Pirates, Bidvest Wits and SuperSport United.

Doutie joins Zambian playmaker Rodrick Kabwe as new attacking options for coach Stanley Menzo, who no longer has Portuguese hitman Joaquim Lupeta and Kenyan midfielder Ali Abondo at his disposal.
