Maritzburg United have unveiled Roger de Sa as their new coach.

KickOff.com yesterday broke the news that De Sa was being presented to the media today.

"I've had a long relationship with the chairman and it's great to be here," said De Sa at a press conference at Harry Gwala Stadium.

"The support here in Pietermaritzburg is second to none, the squad is good and the vibe I get here is very positive," he added.

The former Orlando Pirates boss takes over the reins from Ernst Middendorp, who resigned in November, 2016. Fadlu Davids oversaw the team in the interim.

De Sa quit Ajax Cape Town seven winless games into the current season after two-and-a-half years at Ikamva.

The Team of Choice, in mid-table with 19 points from 15 games, will resume their campaign against Polokwane City at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on February 8.
