Kaizer Chiefs stalwart Siphiwe Tshabalala has expressed his pride to be associated with the Soweto giants.

Chiefs celebrated their 47th birthday on Saturday, with 'Shabba' taking time to wish the club well on KC TV.

He said: "Happy 47th birthday to Kaizer Chiefs. We wish you many, many more years to come, and I am truly grateful, you know, to be a part of this institution. I have learnt a lot."

The 32-year-old Tshabalala is the oldest and longest-serving player in Steve Komphela's squad, having recently clocked up a decade at Naturena.

Amakhosi, in fourth spot on the table with 24 points from 15 games, will resume their campaign on Feruary 7 against Tshabalala's former team Free State Stars at FNB Stadium.
