SAFA technical director Neil Tovey back at work next week after heart-attack scare

Posted: 5 January 2017 Time: 11:30

South African soccer legend Neil Tovey will be back at the office next week to resume his work as SAFA's technical director.

The former Bafana Bafana captain was hospitalised in October, 2016 after suffering a heart attack – his second in two years.

However, Tovey is feeling ready to get back to his job.

"I'm driving to Joburg as I speak," Tovey tells KickOff.com.

"Probably next week I will start working again. Let me just say from Monday I will be back at the office, because we are only opening on Monday."

He adds: "I'm feeling very good but I still got to manage myself."

The 54-year-old also had a heart attack in February, 2015.
