Aschwin Sutton appointed head coach at Mbombela United

Posted: 4 January 2017 Time: 16:21

KickOff.com can confirm that Mbombela United have brought in Aschwin Sutton as their new head coach.

Sutton takes over from Milton Dlamini who was put in charge following the departure of Vusi Mkhatshwa in November.

Dlamini will now work as an assistant to Sutton who is vastly experienced in the First Division having worked with Mabopane Young Masters, Dobsonville All Nations, Maritzburg United, Hanover Park, Batau FC, African Warriors, Black Leopards, Sivutsa Stars, Blackburn Rovers, United FC and FC AK in the country’s second tier.

Retired DR Congo-born keeper Miphy Lupini has been brought in as the new goalkeeper coach while Vuyisile Ntombayithethi will also become available for selection when the league resumes.

Ntombayithethi was signed late last year but couldn’t be used before the mid-season transfer window having already played for FC Cape Town earlier in the season.

Oupa Matsebula, co-chairman at Mbombela United, confirms the latest developments.

“Aschwin will be our new coach when we re-open with Dlamini as his assistant while Lupini will be the keeper coach,” Matsebula tells KickOff.com.
