Ajax Cape Town academy kit manager Alton Mnduzulwana had little doubt Thulani Serero and Eyong Enoh were destined for big things.
Both midfielders were signed by Ajax Amsterdam after shining for the Urban Warriors, with Cameroonian Enoh since playing for the likes of Fulham, Antalyaspor and Standard Liege.
Bafana Bafana playmaker Serero is currently out of favour at the Dutch giants, and could move on in January amid interest from English Championship side Reading.
“There are actually two players who stand out, namely Serero and Enoh because they both came here as young players. These boys were special and they have gone on to do well in their careers. It’s not surprising,” Mnduzulwana told his club's website.
Enoh represented Ajax in the Absa Premiership from 2006 to 2008, while Serero had three years in the South African topflight before going to Holland in 2011.
Meanwhile, the long-serving Mnduzulwana plan to continue doing his bit for the coastal outfit for many years to come.
“I can work for another 17 years for this club if possible. I have enjoyed working here and contributing to the success of the club in a certain and unique way.”
