Helder Pelembe eager to repay Baroka faith

New Baroka signing Helder Pelembe is puzzled as to why it nearly took him five months to find a club given his efforts at his former employers.
Pelembe on Friday penned a one-and-a-half-year contract with the topflight newcomers, along with Siphamandla Sangweni.
The 29-year-old was previously training with Africa Sport Youth Development Academy, having been released by Orlando Pirates after a potential move to Golden Arrows collapsed in August.
Pelembe first arrived in South Africa in August 2013, when he linked up with Roses United in the National First Division, before joining Pirates four months later. He also had a stint on loan at Bloemfontein Celtic.
"I pray to God that what happened previously doesn't happen again," Pelembe tells KickOff.com.
"Because I sit and analyse and I don't remember myself doing wrong or not performing where I have played in the past. But for strange reasons that I don't know till now I stopped playing. Definitely it is difficult to stay without work, it's not easy for anyone so I thank God for everything he has done for me until today."
The Mozambican is determined to reassert his value and help Bakgaga rise from the bottom of the standings.
"[They can expect] the very same Helder. I will work hard because of the trust they are putting in me. And I want to help them reach their objectives. My targets are not far from the other players. I'm too, ambitious as a human being and player. First I want to adjust myself to Baroka and for sure the rest will follow."
