Polokwane City striker Puleng Tlolane has broken two of fingers in his left-hand and will be out for six weeks, according to the club coach Luc Eymael.
Tlolane, who scored against Kaizer Chiefs this past weekend, will not miss the second half of the season since the Absa Premiership resumes in February and gives him sufficient time to heal.
Rise and Shine started the season under former Belgium goalkeeper Eymael with a full tank of fighting spirit but that historic start has been muddied by their last two results in which they lost to Kaizer Chiefs and Supersport United.
Eymael, who boarded a plane last night to his homeland for the festive season, explained the injury to his front man.
"Puleng Tlolane has two fingers broken in his left hand and that is six weeks out and he’s in plaster now. But we will see," Eymael told KickOff.com.
City finished the first half of the season in fifth place, with 21 points from 15 games. It is the best position for the club in the PSL since their promotion to the top flight in 2012/13 season.
They will resume league action on February 8 at home against Maritzburg United at the Old Peter Mokaba stadium.
