Kaizer Chiefs' man of the hour Bernard Parker is elated to see his side turn the corner this past weekend and is looking forward to ending the year on a high note.
Parker starred in Amakhosi's dramatic 3-2 win over Polokwane City as he netted for the first time in over a year and bagged himself an assist en route to collecting the Man of the Match accolade.
Having finally snapped a lengthy winless streak courtesy of that result Chiefs will look to add another tick to the wins column when they take on Golden Arrows on Wednesday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium (18h00).
"I am happy we are back to winning ways,” Parker told his club's website. “It felt so great to see the team turn the corner on Sunday. We were so excited with those three points and we want to follow that up with more good performances.
“We are ready for Arrows. It is going to be an interesting match. Arrows are enjoying a great start to the season and we are well aware of that.”
“We want to give our supporters a good Christmas present [with a win],” Parker concludes. “Durban is like our backyard [in terms of the support]. When we are in the right space and frame of mind no one can stop us.”
On his own return Parker added: “It was a good feeling to start against City. I was happy with my performance on Sunday. I just have to continue working hard. I can only grow in confidence from now onwards.”
