Jackson Mabokgwane back for Orlando Pirates ahead of Bloemfontein Celtic clash

Posted: 19 December 2016 Time: 15:20

Orlando Pirates have received a boost with the recovery from injury of goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane ahead of tomorrow's league clash with Bloemfontein Celtic at Orlando Stadium.

Mabokgwane was previously sidelined with a back problem sustained in a 1-1 draw with Baroka FC on November 30.

Brighton Mhlongo consequently played in goal in the 2-2 stalemate with Highlands Park and 2-1 loss at Maritzburg United last week.

"Jackson is back," says a source close to Pirates.

"He played during the practice match in Johannesburg on Saturday and did well. He is ready to play in an official game."

Bucs interim coach Augusto Palacios is also boosted by the return from suspension of defender Justice Chabalala for their final game before the festive break.

The Sea Robbers are seventh on the table with 18 points from 12 matches - seven points shy of log leaders Cape Town City, who have played an extra fixture.
