Baroka FC and Golden Arrows drew 1-1 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in an Absa Premiership encounter where both sides played a large portion of the match with ten men.
Richard Matloga put Baroka FC ahead midway through the half from the penalty spot but Danny Phiri found a leveller in the second period.
It took a while for either side to establish themselves but it was Baroka who settled a little quicker and began to look threatening although not real opportunities were forthcoming.
However, when presented with a chance they made no mistake as Clifton Miheso's foul in the area allowed Matloga to step up and convert the subsequent penatly kick.
Not long afterwards Baroka's joy turned to misery as they were reduced to ten men, Percyvell Nkabinde rather foolishly getting himself booked a second time before even half-an-hour was played. That reduction in their opposition's personnel gave Arrows the perfect opportunity to get themselves level and some neat play allowed Fikizolo the chance to shoot but Masuluke saved.
Soon after that Arrows were level - but only in terms of the number of player out on the park with Miheso finding himself presented with a second yellow and the accompanying dismissal.
After the break Baroka seemed content to sit back and Arrows created some good chances but to no avail although Fikizolo had the Bakgaga defence worried with a shot that flew just wide.
Abafana Bes'thende were eventually rewarded for their endeavour as Sibeko's cross located Phiri levelled matters with a composed finish.
Both sides looked for a winner during an intense closing ten minutes but the game ended level with Baroka still searching for a first win at home.
