George Lebese out for six weeks with back fracture, Kaizer Chiefs injury update

Posted: 18 December 2016 Time: 10:17

Kaizer Chiefs have a number of injury concerns ahead of today's game and have confirmed that George Lebese is ruled out of action for six weeks with a back fracture.

Amakhosi provided an injury update on their website revealing the news ahead of their league game against Polokwane City this afternoon.

William Twala is ruled out of that match with a calf strain while Michelle Katsvairo is doubtful with a chest contusion.

“I will seek advice from the medical department before making a decision on Michelle,” says Komphela. “We have a number of injury concerns in the team but despite this, we will field a strong line-up on Sunday.”

Also on the sidelines are Enocent Mkhabela, Edward Manqele and Tsepo Masilela, but Willard Katsande and Sibusiso Khumalo return from suspension.

“Their return will give us some comfort in the selection process,” Komphela comments on the two players who are back.

Kick-Off is at 15h30 at Soccer City.
