Arrows and Wits end deadlocked

Golden Arrows and Bidvest Wits could not be separated as they battled to a 0-0 draw in the Absa Premiership at the Princess Magogo Stadium.
Both sides were very clear in their approach, deeming counter-attacking football to be their best route forward during the first half.
This tactic was epitomised during a passage of play in which Wits struck the crossbar before Arrows stormed up the other side of the field following a corner only for Ntanga to fail in his attempt to convert Jooste's cross.
The high tempo of the half eventually gave way to more composed bplay from both sides but Abafana Bes'thende did have a chance just before the break as the enterprising Nduduzo Sibiya tricked his way into a good position before chipping over the bar.
After the break it was Wits who showed slightly more initiative but the pressure came in spells and was not sustained for any significant period.
Both defences were on top with their respective goalkeepers not having to deal with much although Gumede was required to contend with a number of aerial balls.
With time running out Arrows had an opportunity from a free kick but Darren Keet saved well as Miheso's delivery was touched goalwards via a head.
At the other end Daine Klate fired over as a game that was often full of energy failed to produce a result.
