Free Stars coach Giovanni Solinas believes the addition of experienced duo Thamsanqa Teyise and Rooi Mahamutsa will stabilise the team as they attempt to claw their way up the table.

Twelve games into their Absa Premiership campaign Free State Stars are rooted to the bottom of the log with a measly eight points to show for their efforts so far.

Ea Lla Koto are currently contending with the absence of captian Paulus Masehe, making the recruitment of two experienced campaigners all the more important.

"We signed these two players because we need experienced players for fighting in the Premier League and fighting for relegation," Solinas tells KickOff.com.

"We have in the squad a lot of young players and in this moment it is difficult for us. And maybe these young players feel a lot of pressure so we need now the experienced players that can help us for fighting relegation."

Meanwhile, Stars general manager Rantsi Mokoena confirmed to this website that Teyise and Mahamutsa are now available for selection but whether they appear tomorrow against Baroka FC is up to the coach.

"They will be part of the team and I can confirm that we have signed them, whether they will play tomorrow or be in the 18-man team I don’t know, but they are available for selection,’’ Mokoena adds.
