Bidvest Wits defender Sifiso Hlanti tells KickOff.com that it feels good to be back after serving his two-match suspension.
Hlanti was red carded against Highlands Park in Wits’ 2-2 draw last month, and has been out of the Clever Boys set-up since. Yet now that he’s once again available for selection, the left-back hopes to win back the favour of Wits head coach Gavin Hunt.
“Obviously I’m happy to be back,” he tells KickOff.com. “But at the very same time those that filled in my position were doing well. So it’s up to the coach Gavin Hunt [who will play in the next game] because he is the one who is going to select the team.
“In terms of suspension I’m happy that I’m back, and I’m looking forward to working hard,” he added.
In his absence, Wits lost both of their games in which the defender didn’t play, losing 2-0 to SuperSport United at Mbombela Stadium and 3-2 to Cape Town City FC at Bidvest Stadium.
The Student, who have dropped to third position on the table, will travel to KwaMashu to face Golden Arrows at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Wednesday, with kick-off scheduled for 19h30.
