Ajax Cape Town's Brandon Petersen: No mercy for Highlands Park

Posted: 12 December 2016 Time: 14:55

Ajax Cape Town goalkeeper Brandon Petersen says the team must show no mercy to second-from-bottom Highlands Park in Tembisa on Wednesday.

A three-game winning streak has lifted Ajax to 11th on the table with 12 points from 12 fixtures - three points ahead of the Lions of the North, who are riding an eight-match winless run.

Kick-off is at 19h30 at Makhulong Stadium.

“I think the focus is primarily on our next game for now and we will do everything to get the points,” Petersen told his club's website.

“They are struggling at the bottom, we have to respect that, but we must be disciplined and remain hungry for more wins.

“We have our own mission, to keep going up on the log table, so we have to show no mercy. We have to collect as many points just before the break.

“That will make it will be easy for us to plan when we regroup for the second half of the season you know.

“So far so good, confidence is up and we are working hard to go to Tembisa and have something in the bag.”
