Bantu Mzwakali hails Mark Mayambela, Thabo Mosadi impact at Ajax Cape Town

Posted: 12 December 2016 Time: 10:42

Bantu Mzwakali is happy to be an Ajax Cape Town player again, and believes the signing of Mark Mayambela and Thabo Mosadi has played a role in the team's resurgence under new coach Stanley Menzo.

Ajax have eased their relegation concerns with three straight victories over Platinum Stars, African champions Mamelodi Sundowns and Golden Arrows.

The Urban Warriors are 11th in the Absa Premiership standings with 12 points from as many games, and will end the year with matches against Highlands Park [on Wednesday], Bloemfontein Celtic and Chippa United.

“I think it was a good idea to bring the guys to the club. They brought a different dimension to the team and everyone can see it,” Mzwakali said of Mayambela and Mosadi on the club's website.

“They have pace, trickery, good vision and can push the team to play. We do understand them and you can see we have changed now.

“They are good communicators and when things are not going well, we talk and see where we can rectify.

“On the other hand, the coach [Menzo] is also someone who worked with our minds and the results are there. I am happy to be an Ajax player once again.

“However, the mission is to remain disciplined for us to keep winning our games – that’s very important now as we head to the Christmas break.”
