SuperSport United ace Reneilwe Letsholonyane says his understanding with central midfield partner Dean Furman is a key reason for his fine form this season.
The ex-Kaizer Chiefs man has impressed in United's 14-game unbeaten run, and is expected to make his presence felt in tonight's Telkom Knockout final with Cape Town City at Peter Mokaba Stadium (18h00).
"We understand each other. Obviously we played together in the national team before and we worked on understanding each other as the individual before we can understand each other on the field," says Letsholonyane.
"We do a lot of work to make sure that it works. We try and work hard at training with our teammates to try and make it work."
'Yeye' enjoys playing within the structure set by Matsatsantsa coach Stuart Baxter, who he won four trophies with at Naturena.
"I think it's the knowledge that he has of football and how he wants his team to play.
"It might be boring to supporters and other people but to him and us who are working with him, we know exactly what he wants.
"Also what type of football will make us achieve. So for me, for the fact that he emphasise us on a structure more than just playing and running around helps a lot."
