Kosta Papic praises Katlego Mphela after Royal Eagles return against Milano in Nedbank Cup

Royal Eagles coach Kosta Papic has praised former Bafana Bafana striker Katlego Mphela for his positive attitude and professionalism.

'Killer' made his return from a six-month layoff with injury in a 3-2 win over Milano United in a Nedbank Cup tie at Harry Gwala Stadium on Wednesday.

The 32-year-old recently returned to Eagles after leaving the promotion hopefuls in the off-season.

"He did well considering his long layoff due to injury. The whole team did well," Papic tells KickOff.com.

"Mphela is a great professional. I like his attitude," adds the Serbian, who is less impressed with wayward winger Masibusane Zongo.

Club manager Richard Makhoba also lauded Mphela's efforts.

"Mphela spent six months without a contract due to his injury. But the man is amazing. He has been working hard and pushing the boys at training," says Makhoba.

"He could have scored at least three goals but the good thing is he played the full 90 minutes. He will surely get his full fitness soon."
