Mamelodi Sundowns will enter the FIFA Club World Cup on a high following a 4-1 demolition of struggling Free State Stars at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The teams entered the break locked at 1-1, as Thokozani Sekotlong swiftly cancelled out Khama Billiat's 42nd minute opener for the Brazilians.
However, the African champions took control of the league tie through a Percy Tau brace and strike from Keagan Dolly in Tshwane.
Sundowns, who bounced back from a shock 2-0 loss at Ajax Cape Town in midweek, are eighth on the table with 16 points from eight games - eight points adrift of log leaders Cape Town City, who have played four more matches.
Ea Lla Koto are in the drop zone with eight points from 12 matches.
Pitso Mosimane's men are playing catch-up in the Absa Premiership owing to their exploits in the CAF Champions League.
Downs will depart for Japan on Monday looking to do the continent proud at the Club World Cup against the likes of European giants Real Madrid.
