Kaizer Chiefs newcomer Joseph Molangoane is excited to be working with coach Steve Komphela again.
Chiefs on Friday announced Molangoane's capture on a two-and-a-half year deal from Chippa United, who plan to appeal the PSL DRC's recent ruling that allowed him to leave the Chilli Boys as a free agent.
The midfielder previously plied his trade under Komphela at Platinum Stars.
“The coach was a very big factor for me. He showed me from the beginning that he really wanted me,” Molangoane told Amakhosi's website.
“The team has some fantastic players in their ranks and I have admired their style of play for a while now. I grew up supporting Kaizer Chiefs. Coming here is a dream come true for me and my main goal now is play football and to contribute positively to the success of the club.”
Komphela added: "This is a welcome addition to the squad. His qualities are unquestionable. The boy has a big heart. As small as he is, he is one of the bravest players I have ever come across. We welcome him and look forward to his contribution."
Molangoane will don jersey number 23 at Naturena.
The Glamour Boys next visit the Chilli Boys at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.
