Chippa United to appeal ruling in favour of Joseph Molangoane

Posted: 1 December 2016 Time: 15:43

It appears Joseph Molangoane may have to wait even longer before playing football again after Chippa United stated their intention to oppose a Dispute Resolution Chamber ruling in favour of the midfielder.

The Chilli Boys will lodge an appeal against a verdict that comes in the wake of a protracted leagal battle between the two parties.

Molangoane originally took his employers to the DRC in a bid to secure his clearance and pave the way for a move to Kaizer Chiefs.

However, Chippa United claimed that the former Orlando Pirates man could not go for free as he still had two years left on his contract.

Chippa United boss Chippa Mpengesi confirmed to KickOff.com that his club will lodge an appeal to SAFA against the ruling.

"We are taking the matter to SAFA where will be making an appeal," said Mpengesi in a brief interview with this website.
