Lebogang Phiri waiting on Brondby renewal offer as contract nears expiry

Brondby have still not agreed a new contract with Bafana Bafana midfielder Lebogang Phiri and will be keen to tie him down before the new year or face losing him for free.
Phil has stated that he would like to extend his stay at the Danish club if they meet his salary demands and remains a key figure within the team.
His performances continue to draw plaudits, but this has not been translated into a new deal yet.
And Phiri is not alone, other top stars Christian Nørgaard and Andrew Hjulsager are also in negotiations with the club as their deals expire in June next year.
It means the trio could sign pre-contracts elsewhere if Brondby, currently second in the Danish league, cannot tie them down.
The under-23 international reportedly drew interest from Austria before the start of the season, but Rapid Vienna failed to make a move.
