Kaizer Chiefs send well wishes to Siboniso Gaxa

Posted: 28 November 2016 Time: 19:31

Kaizer Chiefs have sent their well wishes to former defender Siboniso Gaxa following his move to rivals Bidvest Wits.

The full-back was on Monday confirmed as The Students’ latest acquisition, having trained with the club after his much-publicised and acrimonious exit from Naturena in June.

Amakhosi have now released a statement on their website indicating the player’s clearance was granted, before wishing the 32-year-old well.

“Kaizer Chiefs can confirm that the Club was approached by Bidvest Wits to provide them with Siboniso Gaxa’s clearance,” the statement read. “We duly provided them with the clearance and he has now signed with Wits.

“We would like to thank him for his service to Amakhosi and wish him well in the future.”

Gaxa, who made 133 starts for the Glamour Boys after joining them in 2012 from Belgian outfit Lierse SK, has signed on until the end of the season, with an option to renew.
