Celtic back on the winning trail

Bloemfontein Celtic picked up their first win in five league matches after a 2-1 Absa Premiership victory over Baroka FC at the Dr Molemela Stadium on Wednesday.

Phunya Sele Sele were looking to arrest a slide of form that had seen them winless in five previous matches, while Bakgaga had drawn their last three league games prior to kick-off.

Legologonolo Seema was in the dugout for Celtic, assisted by John Maduka, after Serame Letsoaka vacated the head coach position recently.

And the home side got off to the perfect start as Robert Sankara netted just three minutes into the game to give Celtic the lead.

Baroka pulled a goal back, though, Albert Mothupa finding the back of Ayanda Mtshali's net to level the scores at 1-1 after 31 minutes.

However, four minutes into the second half and Siwelele were singing again as Musa Nyatama made it 2-1 to restore Celtic's lead.

The result moves Celtic three points clear of the relegation zone, just a point behind 10th-placed Baroka with a game in hand.
