Bidvest Wits' Elias Pelembe not underestimating Highlands Park

Posted: 23 November 2016 Time: 11:36

Bidvest Wits winger Elias Pelembe says playing at home doesn't guarantee them three points in tonight's league clash against struggling Highlands Park at Bidvest Stadium.

The Mozambican international says they should avoid being complacent at all costs in tonight’s clash if they want to return to the top of the log.

"Anything can happen, it's soccer,” Pelembe said. “Football has changed, if you don't take your chances and organise well you can be punished because it doesn't mean that much if you are at home or away.

“The mentality of most of the teams has changed, they want to win games no matter where is it. We know of course (a win tonight will take us back on top) but we are taking it one game at a time. As a team we need to play well and take our chances,” Pelembe tells

With The Clever Boys having already won the MTN8 Cup this season, Pelembe says they are planning to challenge for more titles.

"I hope we keep winning trophies, but we are going to take it game by game and it's still a long way to go,” he concludes.
