Royal Eagles general manager Richard Makhoba has promised another thriller when his team meets Milano United in their NFD Nedbank Cup qualification clash.
Eagles are cuurently flying high on the NFD log standings, occupying third place with 19 points from 11 games, and sit six points behind run-away leaders Thanda Royal Zulu.
The Kwa-Zulu Natal-based outfit boast two of the league's top scorers within their ranks, in striker Sedwyn George and former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Raymond Monama, who have bagged 18 goals between them thus far.
Makhoba takes confidence from two sides' last encounter in the league, which saw Eagles take the game 4-2 at the Harry Gwala Stadium a fortnight ago.
“We are happy to have drawn Milano at home. Two weeks ago we gave them a hiding of 4-2 at home. So our players are looking forward to continue with a good run,” Makhoba tells KickOff.com.
“And as a club we also want to go all the way in the Nedbank Cup because that is exposure that we cannot ignore as a club.
“Looking at the size of the squad that we have more players will be eager to showcase to the coaches what they are made of, and I know the coaches will definitely try and rotate players.
“Every player given the opportunity will grab it with both hands and we will be through the to the last 32 of the Nedbank Cup.”
The Premier Soccer League announced on Monday that all the 2016/ 17 Nedbank Cup qualification fixtures will be played on the same day – December 7.
