Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Lebese has given little weight to the threat posed by SuperSport United midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane.
Amakhosi will host Matsatsantsa a Pitori in ab Absa Premiership clash at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday evening, with the hopes of overcoming their defeat to fellow Tshwane rivals Mamelodi Sundowns over the weekend.
Stuart Baxter's side have shown good form of late, managing a 10-game unbeaten streak as they currently occupy fourth spot on the log standings,
A possible dangerman in the clash will arguably be red-hot Letsholonyane, who will be making his first appearance against his former employers since trading Naturena for Megawatt Park at the beginning of the season.
Lebese – though admiting the threat that his former teammate could pose – insists their focus should be on perfecting their own plan in order to walk away victorious.
"Obvioulsy he's a quality player, we need to just give him that respect, but we are not going to plan around him," said Lebese.
"We just have to get our game right and focus on ourselves, and get the goals [that we need]."
With Chiefs having their own title ambitions, 'Geeza' deems it vital to get a victory over SuperSport, who will also be fancying their chances of going all the way in the league 'marathon'.
"It's very important [to get a win] because SuperSport are direct competition [for the league championship]," he added.
"They are a big team and they are going for the league, which we are also challenging for. I think we're not far off [the pace of the leaders].
"These three points are more like a six-pointer for us – we are trying to recover from our loss [to Sundowns] and we're also trying to get back in the race."
