Mamelodi Sundowns have been boosted by the return of Colombian striker Leonardo Castro ahead of their Absa Premiership clash against Kaizer Chiefs.
The Brazilians are set to host Amakhosi at Loftus Stadium in Tshwane on Saturday afternoon (15h30) as they look to catch up on their domestic football calendar.
The return of Castro from an ankle injury, though, is somewhat overshadowed by coach Pitso Mosimane's concerns in the left and right-back positions.
Siyanda Zwane and Anele Ngcongca are currently running on the sidelines as they work their way back to full fitness from shoulder and knee injuries respectively, with the former set for a late fitness test ahead of this weekend's clash.
Left-back Tebogo Langerman, who was released from Bafana Bafana camp last week due to a hamstring strain, took part in training at Chloorkop this morning, but is set to be closely monitored.
The other left-back Mzikayise Mashaba is also still sidelined and is working with the team physio as he looks to return from his long lay-off with a groin injury. Asavela Mbekile is an option in that position, having played there for the national team against Mozambique.
Meanwhile, Hlompho Kekana and Anthony Laffor also sat out of training on Thursday morning but are expected to be available for the upcoming game, with goalkeeper Denis Onyango still not fully recovered from the head injury he suffered in the CAF Champions League final second leg last month.
