SuperSport United striker Bradley Grobler was well-pleased with his showing following his two substitute displays for Bafana Bafana, and hopes to become a regular in the national team set-up.
The 28-year-old was called up for South Africa’s World Cup qualifier against Senegal in which the energetic forward came on in the 58th minute, before making his fifth national appearance in Tuesday’s friendly against Mozambique.
Grobler made a telling impact, slotting home Ramahlwe Mphahlele’s diagonal long ball to level matters and secure a draw for the visitors.
The attacking talent, who has just one goal in six matches for his club so far this season, was pleased with his, and the team’s performance, and hopes to be in the reckoning for Bafana Bafana once again in future.
“It is always exciting to any player to play in the national team,” he is quoted as saying on his club’s official website. “I’m highly motivated and looking forward to double the effort and possibly receive some more call-ups.
“This was a collective effort, and the team did not disappoint in my opinion.”
Grobler will no doubt be looking to be on target for his club side when they face Baroka in an Absa Premiership encounter on Saturday.
