Left-back Khumalo strained a muscle, while midfielder Twala took a knock to the ankle after both coming on as substitutes in the 6-5 defeat on penalties at Moses Mabhida Stadium on November 6.

However, the pair are expected to recover in time for next Saturday's showdown with Absa Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns in Tshwane.

'Khumalo is undergoing assessment for a muscle strain, while Twala picked up a knock to his ankle. The international break will allow the duo to recover in time before Chiefs’ trip to Tshwane next Saturday,' read an update on the club's official website.
