SA players abroad: Erasmus, Jali, Mahlangu, Mokotjo, Ndlovu, Patosi, Phiri, Pienaar, Rantie, Singh, Veldwijk, Zungu

Kamohelo Mokotjo and Lebogang Phiri continue to perform, Steven Pienaar saw red, while Kermit Erasmus, Andile Jali and Bongani Zungu watched from the sidelines again in Europe on the weekend.

KERMIT ERASMUS
There was no Erasmus in the match day squad for French Ligue 1 side Rennes.

ANDILE JALI
Jali remains sidelined at Belgian club KV Oostende, not good news for his call-up to the Bafana Bafana squad for the Senegal World Cup qualifier.

MAY MAHLANGU
Mahlangu didn’t make it off the bench for Romanian side Dinamo Bucharest.

MIHLALI MAYAMBELA
Mayambela ended his season in Sweden with a bench place as his side concluded their campaign in eighth.

KAMOHELO MOKOTJO
Mokotjo was excellent for FC Twente in their 1-1 draw at PSV Eindhoven. Not good enough for Bafana Bafana though apparently …

LEBOGANG MOTHIBA
After featuring in the match day squad against Paris St Germain last weekend, Under-23 international Mothiba did not feature for Lille in their most recent match.

DINO NDLOVU
Ndlovu missed the weekend game for Azerbaijan side Qarabag having come off midway through the second half of their 1-0 UEFA Europa League win against PAOK in Greece on Thursday.
 
AYANDA PATOSI
Bafana winger Patosi had to be content with a place on the bench for Belgian side Lokeren.
 
LEBOGANG PHIRI
Phiri was pulling the strings in midfield for Danish side Brondby as they won 2-1 at Viborg to stay second.
 
STEVEN PIENAAR
Pienaar was sent off for Sunderland as they finally claimed a win, their 2-1 success at Bournemouth a first victory of the season.
 
BRADLEY RALANI
Ralani helped Helsingborg to a 2-0 win over Jönköping Södra that helped his side avoid automatic relegation. They still have to negotiate the play-offs though …

TOKELO RANTIE
Rantie was not in the match day squad for Turkish side Genclerbirligi.

LUTHER SINGH
Singh completed his season in Sweden, and likely his stay in GAIS, by playing in a 1-0 loss to Syrianska. GAIS end the campaign in eighth.
 
JOEL UNTERSEE
Untersee played for Italian Serie B side Brescia in their 3-2 win over Cesena.

LARS VELDWIJK
The new Bafana call-up was only on the bench for Belgian side Kortrijk.

BONGANI ZUNGU
Still no sign off Zungu for Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes.
