Orlando Pirates look set to welcome back Oupa Manyisa and Luvuyo Memela for the Telkom Knockout Cup quarter-final against Highlands Park at Orlando Stadium on Saturday night.
The attacking midfielders missed the Soweto Derby stalemate with Kaizer Chiefs last weekend and the 6-1 loss to SuperSport United on Tuesday due to food poisoning.
However, they have since returned to training.
According to a club official, interim Pirates coach Augusto Palacios will continue to monitor their condition ahead of the meeting with Highlands.
"Both players are back at training," says the official. "But obviously they are still to have a fitness test to determine if they would be available for the game tomorrow."
Palacios, who is minus suspended defender Happy Jele, took charge of Pirates after Muhsin Ertugral resigned on Wednesday.
The Sea Robbers have since drafted in former Buccanner Benson Mhlongo to serve as a second assistant coach alongside Bradley Carnell.
Fitness trainer Elsa Storm is also staying at Mayfair despite the departure of Ertugral.
