Posted: 3 November 2016 Time: 14:01

Ajax Cape Town midfielder Bantu Mzwakali has signed a new contract which will keep him at the club for the next four years.

Ajax boss Ari Efstathiou is delighted to secure the 22-year-old's services.

"It’s really great that he has extended, he is now settled with what he wants to do," said Efstathiou.

"He’ll be here for the next four years. He signed his contact on Friday and you could already see the difference in the way he played.

"He has realised that this is the club that will help him achieve what he wants to do and that is going to Europe.

"Not many people realise just how young he is. He is only 22 years old. He signed his first contract as a teenager. That he has made a commitment to the club is fantastic."
