Mamelodi Sundowns newcomer Thapelo Morena was not entirely satisfied with his performance in the 2-0 defeat of Polokwane City on Wednesday night.
The former Bloemfontein Celtic attacker provided the assist for Percy Tau's 55th minute opener at Peter Mokaba Stadium, with Khama Billiat sealing the tie late on for the Brazilians.
However, Morena is determined to improve.
"Based on my performance, I'd like to say I didn't do it the way I wanted to do it," he told SuperSport TV.
"I didn't deliver like I wanted to. But from here I will go to training and do what I need to do."
Regarding his input in Tau's goal, he said: "It is something I have to do. As as a winger, or as a wingback, you have to deliver both ways."
Morena also thanked coach Pitso Mosimane and his teammates for helping him settle at Chloorkop.
"Thanks to the one above us and the technical team, they are giving me the opportunity and also thanks to my teammates. They are the ones making the game easy for me. They always talk to me before the game. They tell me I must do what I came here to do, and that is play football."
