Chippa United’s want-away midfielder Joseph ‘Tight’ Molangoane has taken the club back to the PSL Dispute Resolution Chamber as he pushes for a move to Kaizer Chiefs.
Molangoane’s hearing regarding his bid to be declared a free agent has been set for November 14.
‘Tight’ has already had two urgent applications on this matter thrown out by the PSL and has now chosen to follow normal procedure for the hearing of such cases by the League.
Peter Koutroulis, the Chippa CEO, confirms the date of the hearing to KickOff.com.
“We are being guided by the League on this matter and we will attend on November 14,” says Koutroulis.
Chippa still maintain that Molangoane remains under contract with the club while the player and his handlers insist his deal with the club ran up at the end of June. Claims of forgery have also been raised along the way.
Chiefs have been keen to have the 28-year-old on a free transfer instead of paying a fee after having already agreed personal terms with him at the end of last season.
Molangoane also trained with Amakhosi during pre-season but has been keeping fit at the Africa Sport Youth Development Academy in Johannesburg as he awaits the settlement of this matter.
Through this mess Chippa coach Dan Malesela has indicated that Molangoane is not in his plans anymore as he cannot keep stressing about a player who doesn’t want to be at the club.
