Senegal name strong 24-man squad to face Bafana Bafana in 2018 World Cup qualifier

Senegal have named a strong 24-man squad to face Bafana Bafana in their 2018 World Cup qualifier in Polokwane next weekend.
The squad is made up of predominently European-based players and features only one locally-based player and another African-based player, both of whom are goalkeepers.
Stoke City striker Mame Biram Diouf has returned to the squad following his recovery from injury, while Liverpool winger Sadio Mane, Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye and West Ham anchorman Cheikhou Kouyate also headline the names on the list.
The Lions of Teranga, who are set to feature at next year's Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon, currently top the World Cup qualifiying group with three points from one game, and their coach Aliou Cisse has emphasised their focus on the upcoming clash against Shakes Mashaba's men.
“The match against South Africa is very important for us‚ and although we have the Nations Cup finals (in Gabon) coming up‚ we must focus solely on the South Africa game," the former Senegal midfielder and defender told reporters.
"It is a meeting of two great football nations‚ a prestigious match that will be highly competitive.
"It’s an important game for us‚ a highly competitive match because Senegal wants to start well in the World Cup.”
