Oupa Manyisa and Luvuyo Memela ruled out of SuperSport United clash

Orlando Pirates have confirmed that midfield duo Oupa Manyisa and Luvuyo Memela will miss their Absa Premiership clash against SuprSport United this evening.

The Buccaneers will face Matsatsantsa at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, with kick-off scheduled for 19h30.

The club have confirmed that the pair, who missed last Saturday's Soweto Derby due to food poisoning, have again been left out of the squad for tonight's encounter.

"Captain Oupa Manyisa and Luvuyo Memela, have not travelled with the squad as they are still recovering from a severe case of stomach cramps," read statement on the Pirates website.

Meanwhile, Muhsin Ertugral has recieved a welcome update with news that new signings Gladwin Shitolo and Nkosinathi Mthiyani have recvered from injury.

"According to the medical report Gladwin Shitolo and Nkosinathi Mthiyane have been cleared and can start training with the rest of the squad," the club added.

"For Shitolo, who has been out since picking up an injury in a friendly match against Royal Eagles during pre-season, it’s a welcome return and he will surely be eager to get back to action."

However, striker Ayanda Nkosi and reserve goalkeeper Siyabonga Mpontshane are both undergoing rehab on their respective injuries.

"Striker Ayanda Nkosi is still receiving treatment on a hamstring strain he suffered two weeks ago. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation and is expected to return to full training in a couple of days.

"Goalkeeper, Siyabonga Mpontshane is also undergoing rehabilitation and making good recovery. He is currently on an individual training programme with the biokineticist," concluded the statement.
