Leonardo Castro back in three weeks for Mamelodi Sundowns

Posted: 28 October 2016 Time: 11:38

Mamelodi Sundowns fans will have to wait a little longer before seeing 'CBD' in full flight again as Leonardo Castro makes his way back from an ankle injury.

Castro, who shone alongside Khama Billiat and Keagan Dolly upfront for the Brazilians last term, has not played since the club's 3-1 win over SuperSport United in the MTN8 on August 28.

However, Downs coach Pitso Mosimane says the Colombian is no longer in pain and could make his return next month.

"Leo is now pain-free and waiting to start the engine," says Mosimane, who has vowed to fight a charge of bringing the league into disrepute duing the clash with Matsatsantsa.

"I don't know how long he is going to take to be ready. I think three weeks maybe."

The African champions next host Cape Town City in the Absa Premiership on Sunday, having dispatched Polokwane City in their Telkom Knockout opener last night.
