Chippa United's powerful striker Rhulani Manzini says his rehabitilation is going smoothly as he looks to bounce back from a foot injury.
The 28-year-old Manzini suffered a break to his fifth metertasel on September 11 in a 0-0 draw with Mamelodi Sundowns in their MTN8 semi-final first-leg match in Port Elizabeth.
Having not featured since then the 28-year-old has remained positive, using his down time wisely as he focuses on his studes whilst out injured.
“Rehab is going well, I am grateful to our medical team for the treatment. I am no longer walking on crutches and the pain has subsided. I firmmly believe that everything that is happening is all a part of God’s plan," he told the club's official website.
“I miss being on the pitch with my teammates and I am looking forward to bouncing back hopefully even stronger than when I started the season
“I’d like to thank the team in its entirety, my church and my family – in particular my wife, for their well wishes and support. Their positive messages give me strength.”
Chippa United have been criticised in recent weeks for having very little end product to capitalise on all the possession they enjoy during the game and Manzini, who netted three times in two games at the start of the season, will provide a welcome boost upon his return.
