SA players abroad wrap: Erasmus, Jali, Mahlangu, Mokotjo, Patosi, Pienaar, Phiri, Rantie, Zungu

Andile Jali and Tokelo Rantie made their first starts of the season, Steven Pienaar tasted defeat again, while Kamohelo Mokotjo continued to impress in Europe on the weekend.

DAYLON CLAASEN
Claasen played for German second-tier side 1860 Munich as they suffered a 2-1 loss at Stuttgart to slip closer to the relegation zone.

KERMIT ERASMUS
Erasmus was once again not in the match day squad for Rennes in France’s Ligue 1.

ANDILE JALI
Jali made a first appearance of the season for Belgian side Oostende and lasted 68 minutes before being replaced in the 2-2 draw with Kortrijk.

MAY MAHLANGU
Mahlangu was again a late substitute for Romanian side Dinamo Bucharest as they trounced Panduril 4-0.

KAMOHELO MOKOTJO
Mokotjo kept up his fine form as he helped Dutch club FC Twente to a 2-0 away win over Go Ahead Eagles.

AYANDA PATOSI
Patosi was replaced 20 minutes into the second half for Lokeren as they lost 2-0 at Zulte-Waregem.

LEBOGANG PHIRI
Phiri anchored the midfield for Brondby in their 1-0 victory over Aarhus in the Danish league.
 
STEVEN PIENAAR
Pienaar played the first 80 minutes for Sunderland as they suffered another loss in the English Premier League, this time at West Ham United.

BRADLEY RALANI
Ralani played in the 0-0 draw at Orebro that means his Swedish side Helsingborg will likely be in the relegation play-offs.

TOKELO RANTIE
Rantie earned a first start for Turkish side Genclerbirligi but was replaced at halftime in their 2-1 away loss at Caykur Rizespor.

BONGANI ZUNGU
Still no sign of Zungu for Vitoria Guimaraes in Portugal.
