Mamelodi Sundowns forward Anthony Laffor unfazed by Zamalek threats

Mamelodi Sundowns striker Anthony Laffor says he’s undaunted by off-the-field shenanigans by Zamalek to distract his side from their continental dream.
Despite their healthy 3-0 lead heading into Sunday’s second leg final, Downs face a daunting task at the El Borg Arab Stadium in Alexandria, where a capacity crowd of Zamalek supporters will no doubt provide a stern test for the South African league champions.
However, despite the opposition fans trying their utmost to scare the Brazilians, the goal-scorer from the first leg remains unconcerned.
“Since the game in South Africa, some guys on social media have sent threats, and all other things … but as a professional, it’s nothing we need to pay attention to,” the Liberian tells KickOff.com. “At the end of the day, we just need to be focused and play our football.
“I don’t think they will come onto the pitch and disturb us – they are fans and will stay in the stands and shout for their team, that’s obvious. So we just need to focus on our own game and forget everything else, and just play football.”
Laffor says his side will not be complacent despite their lead, and will need to maintain their concentration for the duration of the 90 minutes on Sunday evening.
“It’s not over yet; we are ahead 3-0 and some people think it’s over, but it’s not over … it is all in our hands, we need to be focused and keep our concentration levels very high and we’ll see what happens on Sunday,” he says.
