Utility player Siyabonga Ngubane is hopeful Chippa United can bounce back from their first league loss of the season against Highlands Park tonight in the last-16 of the Telkom Knockout.
Chippa are smarting from a 1-0 defeat at joint-log leaders Golden Arrows last Saturday. Ngubane made his debut for the side in Durban in the absence of injured defender Diamond Thopola, who is expected back in a fortnight.
The Chilli Boys, in seventh spot on the Absa Premiership table, next visit topflight rookies Highlands, who replaced head coach Allan Freese with four-time PSL winner Gordon Igesund in midweek.
"It was disappointing to lose the game in the manner we did," Ngubane told his club's website.
"I am already focused though on the next game against Highlands Park. I’m sure it is the same for everyone at the club.
"Highlands Park will be a different ball game. Cup games are different, but we must focus on our preparations."
The former University of Pretoria man added: "I came here to continue with my development as a player and I think I am on the right track.
"Hopefully we can put the disappointment of losing the game against Arrows behind and focus on the next game.
"Our objectives going to this game remain the same; to compete for every trophy on offer and fight for the badge."
Kick-off is at 20h00 at Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa.
