Kaizer Chiefs are currently contending with a number of injuries although there is good news with regard to defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele's ankle injury.
The 26-year-old missed Amakhosi's win over Ajax Cape Town but has resumed light training this week and is not far from a return to competitive action according to the club's official website.
George Maluleke, suspended for the next two matches after his red card against the Urban Warriors, is suffering from a hamstring injury according to the Chiefs medical team.
Enocent Mkhabela and Eric Mathoho both returned to training this week with the former having shaken off a minor injury and the latter returning from sympathy leave after a family bereavement.
There is also positive news concerning goalkeeper Luthando Sixhaso and striker Ryan Moon as they recover from respective knee surgeries.
Meanwhile, defender Siboniso Gaxa remains in limbo after his case against Chiefs once again failed to be finalised with the PSL's Dispute Resolution Chamber.
Both Gaxa and Amakhosi met at the PSL offices yesterday but again there was no resolution, and the two parties will meet once more on November 7 with the view to finalising the outcome.
