Bongi Ntuli on the way back for Platinum Stars

Posted: 19 October 2016 Time: 11:33

Platinum Stars coach Cavin Johnson says striker Bonginkosi Ntuli is making progress with an injury but is only expected back at training in a few weeks.

Ntuli, who is on a second loan spell in Rustenburg from Mamelodi Sundowns, has been out since missing Dikwena's last three games of 2015/16.

Stars are in desperate need of Ntuli’s physicality upfront after losing goal-poacher Eleazar Rodgers to Bidvest Wits in the off-season.

"He’s coming, he’s still out injured but he’s coming," Johnson tells KickOff.com.

"He’s still got a few more weeks to start training but he’s coming."

The former Golden Arrows man scored five goals and provided two assists in 19 league appearances last season as Dikwena finished third.

Stars are currently 10th on the log with five points from as many games, and next visit Baroka FC in the Telkom Knockout last-16 on Sunday at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
