Ejike Uzoenyi stuck at Mamelodi Sundowns

Posted: 13 October 2016 Time: 13:50

While Lindokuhle Mbatha and Luyolo Nomandela recently received their clearance letters from Mamelodi Sundowns, fellow midfielder Ejike Uzoenyi remains on the sidelines at Chloorkop.

Uzoenyi was not registered with the PSL last term, having barely featured for Sundowns since penning a four-year contract with the Brazilians just over two years ago.

He was linked with a move to neighbouring SuperSport United earlier this season but financial terms proved a sticking point, and there is little sign of the Nigerian's situation changing anytime soon.

"There's nothing that has changed. As soon as something happens I will let you know," says Uzoenyi's agent Mohammed Lawal.

Following his exit from Downs, Mbatha is training with an unnamed ABC Motsepe League club to stay fit in anticipation of the January transfer window.

Nomandela is trying his luck at Ajax Cape Town.
